Hot Rod Trim was started by Richard and Ying in Melbourne. It started as a small work from home / garage business and our first jobs were for Valiant customers. We have relocated back to NZ and will operate out of Kaikohe, Far North.
We simply wanted our own cars to be enjoyable, and we wanted our own seats to be functional, comfortable and gorgeous! So we insist on properly reconditioning the seats, and servicing the seat parts to function as they should, as well as work on developing supportive foam kits and durable trim kits for our own and customers’ cars.

Sewing Seat Trim Kits:
Equipped with multiple industrial sewing machines, we sew all of our seat skins in-house, using locally produced / available materials and US-imported materials where required.
Foam Kit Making:
From scratch, we reproduce factory spec foam kits, which means our foam kits look and feel plusher and more comfortable than re-used/reconditioned 40+ year old foam.
Everything else:
Armed with all the correct tooling, we recondition bent, broken, rusty, car accident damaged seat frames. With care and professionalism, we install brand new foam and seat skins onto your seats. The end result is impressive, immaculate and comfortable seats.
